About FRIDA
Mission Statement
FRIDA is dedicated to improving the lives of elderly individuals by supporting education and basic and applied investigations of the causes of inflammatory illnesses that typically afflict them.
These diseases include Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis, atherosclerosis and stroke, multiple sclerosis, and certain types of cancer, such as cutaneous T-cell lymphoma and prostrate and breast cancers.
FRIDA’s goals include providing support for laboratories that focus on determining the root cause of inflammation and the mechanism through which chronic inflammation leads to the development of these major health concerns. FRIDA is dedicated to educating the public about the research of investigators examining the causes of chronic inflammation. By achieving its goals, FRIDA can help bring new treatments to patients.
