Fedoroff’s Roast Pork
Project contribution: I designed the site and wrote and edited some of the copy.
Note: This was a preliminary design. The client subsequently elected to go with another design.
James Michael Stella, Artist
Project contribution: I designed the site, created some of the image elements, and edited the copy.
Charter Benefits Consulting LLC
Project contribution: I designed the site, created the background image, and edited the copy.

William L. Bansbach & Co.
Project contribution: I designed and laid out the site, coded the XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, created the composite banner image, and edited the copy.
John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls’ High School
Project contribution: Keeping the original design (which, though not trendy, was pleasant and suited to the subject matter), I updated the navigational system and the events calendar, added random rotation for the home page slogan, corrected and updated the PHP code (necessitated by the migration to a new server), and improved the administrative “dashboards.”
Note: The Hallahan website has since been redesigned by another web developer.
Foundation for Research Into Diseases of Aging (FRIDA) Web Site
Project contribution: I was the webmaster. I redesigned and laid out the site, coded the XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, optimized the images, and edited the copy (FRIDA’s president provided the images and copy). On the “Diseases of Aging” page, I also edited the audio for the “Interview With the Investigator” webcast, which I then assembled in Macromedia Breeze Presenter (now known as Adobe Presenter).

Cases in Advanced Gynecologic Cancers: A Virtual Tumor Board Discussion
Project contribution: An example of the “virtual lecture” (webcast) approach Meniscus Limited first developed in late 2001 and still use; best viewed on a broadband connection. The graphics department designed the opening screen and the banner on subsequent pages in Photoshop, from which I created a layout. I coded the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, edited the audio, and assembled the presentations in Breeze Presenter. As an aside: If you click “Enter Activity,” then “Start Activity” (lower left corner of the browser window), you’ll be presented with three presentations. Click any one of them, and after you’ve viewed a slide or two, scroll down through the slide titles (left side of window) until you get to ones labeled “Discussion.” All the highlighting transitions in the panel frame were actually done relatively low-tech in PowerPoint.

CExpress—Treatment of Advanced Non–Small Cell Lung Cancer: Interactive Case Studies
Project contribution: This is an older version (2001) of a platform Meniscus Limited developed for case-based learning. I devised a method for storing data in HTML files (a sort of poor man’s XML), optimized graphics, and coded the CSS and much of the JavaScript. The in-house ASP programmer wrote the code that made CExpress interactive. The platform was resurrected and modified for ML’s Interactive CE (ICE) product line (e.g., Critical Decision-Making in Health Care Associated Infections: Serious Cases in the Intensive Care Unit). I had a somewhat more limited role in ICE’s development, functioning more as a consultant.
